  • To provide an institution capable of producing qualitative manpower especially at the ASP, in order to meet up with the middle level manpower requirements of the Nigeria Police Force.
  • To equip trainees with competences backed by sound academic background, high professional and moral standards for effective law enforcement and selfless service to the Nation.

Portal Nigerian Police Academy (POLAC) 9th Regular Course 2022

Eligibility:

The basic qualification required for enlistment into the Academy Cadres are as follows:

  • Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be Nigerian citizens and must be between 17 and 22 years of age, and must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female. In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 86cm (34 Inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age). All candidates must be free from any physical deformity or disability.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. All Candidates must also have a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.
  • Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical and psychological tests of fitness

Note: SSCE Statement of results or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2017 will not be accepted.

Requirement:

  1. Applicants MUST have their National Identification Number (NIN), Jamb Registration Number and  a Functional Email address and valid phone number before they commence the application.
  2. Applicants must have duly scanned copy of their original O’Level result(s) to be uploaded on the portal..
  3. Fill and submit the Online form(Review the information before final submission)..
  4. Applicant must print their completed online forms, guarantor forms and submit same at the admission physical/examination screening centers.
  5. Applicant must have passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force.

How to Apply

All interested applicants who meet the criteria above are advised to visit the Academy’s website via the link above, generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code which would be used to make payment of a non-refundable fee of five thousand Naira only (N5,000) through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.

Successful payment will open up a form which applicants are required to fill, and upload scanned copies of their results, birth certificate, and state of origin certificate.

Note: Automated physical screening exercise will hold at the seventeen (17) zonal commands headquarters from 19th to 25th September, 2022.
